A return to your wholeness
I invite you to look inwards for what you seek outwards

About Me
I am Ekta Minocha. I have been teaching yoga since a decade. What initially began as a pursuit for peace and good health has evolved into a spiritual enquiry for me. My practice has led me to teachers and places that have helped me deepen my personal yogic journey. I have felt drawn to yogic/spiritual texts and to live close to people who honor a yogic way of living life. This has brought me to the foothills of Himalayas, next to Mother Ganges in the Northern India.
I have spent the last few years contemplating on my practice through the lens of yogic scriptures, nourishing my being with fragrance of Bhakti Yoga and reflecting on how this can flow into my way of life. This is a continuing journey which doesn’t really have a destination but is a continuous reminder of living in recognition of the self (one’s true nature as wholeness) and noticing that Ishwara’s (God’s) grace is permeating every aspect of life. Although words can be limiting, I can describe myself best as a Yoga Sadhaka besides playing the role of a teacher, educator and practitioner of Yoga.
Yoga teaching and Practice
I teach the practice of Embodied Yoga which emphasizes the importance of mindfulness, breath and the human body as a gateway to inner awareness. The practice encourages tuning into the body through conscious movement, sensing & feeling and letting the awareness guide the movement. The body becomes a place of presence rather than a tool for an outer performance. This approach shifts our yoga from doing to being, from effort to awareness. So our practice can flow out of the mat into the way we live life.
Embodied Yoga is rooted in the philosophy of non-dualism which as a spiritual tradition sees the universe as an undivided, interconnected whole. It suggests that behind our experience of multiplicity there is a single indivisible reality. A state of awareness that exists prior to how we experience life based on conceptual thought. Embodied Yoga practice is a living enquiry into this awareness itself, nurturing a direct and lived experience of unity with the whole.

“Ekta’s classes are mindful, restorative and incredibly effective, she brings real awareness to how your body moves. I leave every session feeling lighter, balanced and more energized”
Asritha Challa, IT Professional, USA
“Ekta’s grounded-ness unhurried and equanimous voice has helped me slow down and return to my body. As I become more present to my physical sensations, I find myself growing more comfortable with my discomforts and more accepting of my own being. Along the way, my body has become stronger, more receptive, and freer“
Anshu Priya, Teacher, Bangalore
“Practicing with Ekta changed my perception of yoga. In embodied yoga, it is not about achieving the perfect posture and straining your body. It is about understanding your body and making movements according to that. This practice has helped me with internal awareness and relaxation of the body”
Srirekha Menon, IT Professional, Bangalore
